EE team sent to prison (to clean the tanks!)

Eurotank Environmental’s Tanks & Industrial Services teams are used to working in a variety of locations but last month was the first time they’ve ventured to a prison.

Eurotank Environmental’s Tanks & Industrial Services teams are used to working in a variety of locations but last month was the first time they’ve ventured to a prison.

Overcoming challenges with prison access restrictions, the team carried out tank cleaning along with tank thickness testing to confirm the integrity of the four underground steel tanks at HMP Oakwood. The team also polished all of the fuel uplifted from the tanks before returning it underground.

The hidden nature of works on underground tanks means pictorial post-job reports are vital for customer peace of mind that the work has been done properly and to a high standard.

A standard Eurotank report describes the scope of works, the full process of the job completed, along with a condition assessment, results of any tests carried out and a full conclusion including any recommendations if appropriate.
